The three USAC national series cars each have their unique characteristics. While things may have changed over the last three decades, the basic principles of the cars we love have stayed the same. Here's a throwback from '92 with Larry Rice comparing USAC's three national series cars.
He was the 1973 USAC National midget driver's champion and won the USAC Silver Crown series in 1977 and 1981. He was inducted into the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 1993. He drove in two Indianapolis 500 and was voted the "Co-Rookie of the Year" with Rick Mears in 1978.
After retirement, he turned to broadcasting on ESPN's "Larry and Gary Show" on the popular "Saturday Night Thunder" telecasts.
